Why do I need to mention chlorophyll? I said the plant needs sunlight and water.
Good question! Chlorophyll is the green substance in leaves that traps light energy for photosynthesis. Without chlorophyll, the plant cannot absorb sunlight. The keyword "chlorophyll" must be mentioned — saying "sunlight" alone is not enough for full marks.
Oh! So I should write: 'Water, carbon dioxide, and light trapped by chlorophyll are needed'?
